Getting started
What does AppVion Studio actually do?
AppVion Studio designs and builds mobile applications, principally native Android apps in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, and cross-platform products using Kotlin Multiplatform. The studio specialises in operational software: dispatch, approvals, attendance, field service, communication, and internal business tools. It also takes on redesigns of existing apps that have aged badly.
What kind of projects are you best suited to?
Products where the difficulty is in the workflow rather than the visuals. Multi-role systems, offline-capable field apps, data-heavy tools, realtime dispatch and tracking, and founder-led MVPs that need to look credible in front of a buyer or an investor.
What are you not a good fit for?
Games, blockchain speculation projects, and anyone shopping for the cheapest possible bid. The studio also declines work where the client wants to skip scoping entirely and start building on a verbal description, because that reliably ends badly for both sides.

Do I need to know exactly what I want first?
No. That is what the Product Clarity Sprint is for. It costs from $1,500, runs one to two weeks, and turns a rough idea into a workflow map, a prioritised feature list, a technical direction, and an estimate you could take to any studio.
Cost and commercials
How much will my app cost?
A production mobile app from AppVion Studio costs $12,000 to $35,000. A focused first release usually lands at $12,000 to $18,000. Multi-role operational platforms run to $35,000. Redesigns start at $6,000 and a scoping sprint starts at $1,500. The pricing page breaks down what moves those numbers.
Is the price fixed?
Yes. AppVion quotes a fixed figure per engagement once the scope is clear, and delivery runs against milestones. If the scope changes mid-build, the change is priced and agreed before it is built rather than appearing on an invoice afterwards.
How are payments structured?
Across milestones, with a deposit to begin and the balance released as each milestone is delivered and reviewed. You see working software at each stage.
Are there costs beyond your fee?
Yes, and they are paid by you directly so you own them: Google Play Console registration is a one-off $25, the Apple Developer Program is $99 per year, and hosting, database, mapping, SMS, or payment-processing fees depend on the product and its usage.
Process and timelines
How long does a build take?
Eight to twelve weeks for a focused first release, twelve to sixteen for a multi-role operational platform with realtime data. A redesign takes four to eight weeks. Those figures assume the scope was settled first; they are not reliable if the product is still being invented while it is built.
What does the process look like week to week?
Four phases. A Signal Audit maps the business model, user roles, and the screens that must feel exceptional. A Product Blueprint fixes information architecture, feature sequencing, and the data model. Design Engineering builds the interface, backend integration, and product logic in focused releases. Launch Refinement covers polish, QA, deployment, and the first improvement loop.
How often will I hear from you?
A working build at each milestone, plus a written update in between. The studio deliberately does not run daily stand-ups with clients, because they consume the time that produces the software.
What happens if the project runs late?
You are told as soon as it is known rather than at the deadline, along with the options: cut scope, move the date, or change the approach. Fixed-price engagements mean a delay caused by AppVion is AppVion's problem, not a change order.
Ownership and risk
Who owns the code?
You do, entirely, on final payment. That covers the source code, the repository, the design files, the store listings, and the backend accounts. AppVion retains no licence and holds no accounts.
Will I be locked in to AppVion?
No, and the architecture is deliberately conventional to make sure of it. The apps use standard Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and mainstream backends, so another competent Android team can pick the project up. Being hard to replace is not a business model the studio is interested in.
Do you sign an NDA?
Yes, before any detailed discussion of your product if you prefer.
What if I already have a development team?
That is common. AppVion can take a defined slice — the Android app, a Kotlin Multiplatform module, an architecture review, or an interface redesign — and work alongside your team rather than replacing it.
Technology
What technology do you build with?
Kotlin and Jetpack Compose for Android, Kotlin Multiplatform with Ktor and SQLDelight for shared logic, and Supabase or Firebase for backend and realtime where a custom backend is not already in place. Room and Paging 3 handle local storage and large lists, and WorkManager handles background sync.
Do you build iOS apps?
Through Kotlin Multiplatform, yes: shared business logic in Kotlin with a native SwiftUI interface. The studio does not take on iOS-only projects, because Android is where its depth is.
Can you build a backend as well?
Yes, using Supabase, Firebase, or Ktor depending on the product. If you already have an API, AppVion integrates with it rather than insisting on a rewrite.
Do you work with AI features?
Yes, where they earn their place: intelligent workflows, command surfaces, automation-ready interactions, and data-aware interface patterns. The studio does not add a chatbot to a product that does not need one.
Working with a studio in Pakistan
Where are you based?
Multan, Punjab, Pakistan. The studio is remote-first and works with clients worldwide.
How do time zones work?
Pakistan Standard Time is UTC+5. That gives a full working overlap with Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, and a morning overlap with the eastern United States. Calls are scheduled inside the client's working hours rather than the studio's.
What language do you work in?
English for all project communication, documentation, and code. The team also speaks Urdu.
Why should I trust an offshore studio?
You should not, on assertion alone. That is why AppVion publishes working prototypes rather than testimonials, names every team member with an individual profile page, and lists direct contact routes to the founder. Start with a $1,500 scoping sprint rather than a $20,000 build, and judge the work before committing to it.
After launch
Do you maintain the app after launch?
Yes, through a care and iteration retainer from $900 per month covering OS and dependency updates, store policy compliance, bug fixes with agreed response times, and a budgeted slice of new feature work.
What does maintenance normally cost across the industry?
Fifteen to twenty-five percent of the original build cost per year is the usual guidance. On a $20,000 build that is roughly $3,000 to $5,000 annually just to keep the app current with Android releases and store policy.
What if I want to take maintenance in-house?
Then you take it in-house. You already own everything, the architecture is conventional, and AppVion will run a handover with your team.
